One of the world's leading choral groups singing the works of one of the greatest Spanish composers of the Renaissance must surely be a winning combination.
This year's Choral Pilgrimage is taking The Sixteen - the voices of Classic FM - to 32 venues across the country and to Spain, where they’ll be featuring the works of Tomás Luis de Victoria. The concerts will marks the 400th anniversary of the composer’s death.
Harry Christophers is the founder and conductor of The Sixteen and has directed the choir and orchestra throughout Europe, America and the Far East, gaining a reputation for his work in Renaissance, Baroque and 20th-Century music.
He talks to Bob Jones about the Choral Pilgrimage, the vocal virtuosity of The Sixteen, and about life on the road.
