Gabriela Montero played a piano improvisation just for us

Pianist Gabriela Montero is famous for her ability to take a theme and improvise around it, creating a stunning new work on the spot.

Have you heard Elmer Bernstein's famous theme from The Magnificent Seven turned into a romantic piano rhapsody? No. No you haven't.

Well, lucky for you, we convinced pianist Gabriela Montero to come up with an incredible improvisation on the spot. And, because we were at Classic FM Live in Cardiff, we asked her to improvise something featuring a piece played on the night. (You can listen to the whole concert from Wednesday night, BTW.)
