CEFC plays Glastonbury
Crouch End Festival Chorus will join Ray Davies on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on Sunday 27 June.
Crouch End Festival Chorus, who performed at Classic FM Live at the Royal Albert Hall in March, will sing classic Ray Davies songs with Ray and his band on the closing afternoon of Glastonbury Festival.
The choir, based in north London, began with a few enthusiasts handing out leaflets at a local supermarket, recruiting singers for a performance of Verdi’s Requiem in summer 1984. Its members now number 150, and they give concerts at venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Barbican and Kings Place.
Crouch End Festival Chorus has appeared with rock musician Ray Davis in concerts at Hampton Court, Kenwood, Symphony Hall Birmingham and Hammersmith Apollo. It also features on The Kinks Choral Collection CD, which went to Number 5 in the Amazon chart following its release in June last year.
Catch Crouch End Festival Chorus at St James Church, Muswell Hill, London on Saturday 19 June, before they hit Glastonbury. For more information, click here.
