Craig Ogden has knocked André Rieu off the top of the classical charts for the second time, with his new album Summertime, released last week.
Ogden first won the battle for number one last July, with his album The Guitarist, overthrowing André Rieu, who had reigned supreme for 27 consecutive weeks with Forever Vienna.
Summertime, Ogden’s second album, features popular guitar works like Albeniz’s Asturias and Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez, and guitar arrangements of film music including Pelagia’s Song from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin and Gabriel’s Oboe from The Mission.
