The British pianist caught up with Classic FM's John Suchet at this year's Gramophone Awards, explaining his whirlwind career so far.
Benjamin Grosvenor spoke to Classic FM's John Suchet at the prestigious Gramophone Awards 2014, held at St. John Smith Square, London.
The pianist presented the Young Artist of the Year award to the Danish chamber ensemble, the Nightingale Quartet, an award Grosvenor himself won in 2012.
"My debut CD came out in 2011 and having the attention of Gramophone magazine and having those awards was very helpful, as well," the pianist told John Suchet.
But, he said, he still has to practise every day - except on days when he has to fly off to a concert somewhere else in the world. He's on his way to Montreal to perform Saint-Saens's second Piano Concerto.
