Andreas Ottensamer: "Gershwin gets the party started"

Model, international clarinettist and now a Classic FM Live performer - Jane Jones talks to the German clarinettist Andreas Ottensamer backstage at Classic FM Live.

Playing some gorgeous Debussy and following it with some typically sassy Gershwin is a challenge at the best of times, but doing it on stage at the Royal Albert Hall in front of the Classic FM Live audience is another thing all together - as Andreas Ottensamer is about to find out.

A Classic FM Live first-timer, Ottensamer pointed to the contrast between his two choices: "The two pieces I've picked are special to me... I like the combination of having a very slow, intimate piece of music like the Debussy, then after that getting the party started with Gershwin."
