André Rieu's 'Home For Christmas' concert is to be screened in cinemas across the UK and Ireland, including a live satellite link-up and Q&A with Rieu himself.
André Rieu's Christmas concert film 'Home For Christmas' will be screened for one night only in cinemas across the UK and Ireland at 5pm on Saturday November 24th. The screenings will all be introduced by Rieu himself via a satellite link from Maastricht, and audiences will be able to take part in a live Q&A before the concert is shown.
Filmed at his home in Maastricht, the concert film itself is a grand celebration of all things Christmassy featuring Rieu's Johann Strauss Orchestra, The Royal Choir Society Mastreechter Staar and The Sjamaes Children’s Choir.
Speaking about the film, Rieu commented: "I would never be away from my family around Christmas - especially now since I can enjoy the glowing faces of my grandchildren and their excitement when they see the Christmas tree and the gifts waiting underneath."
Featured Christmas music includes 'White Christmas', 'Silent Night' and 'Go Tell It On The Mountain.' The King Of The Waltz also tells a Christmas tale and shares with the audience what Christmas is like in the Rieu household.
