André Rieu’s Forever Vienna, featuring favourites by Johann Strauss I and II.

The Dutch violinist André Rieu is leader of the Johann Strauss Orchestra, which champions the great composer's waltzes.

On this CD, Rieu and the Orchestra perform a selection of waltzes, polkas and other dances, including The Blue Danube and Thunder and Lightning Polka. Aside from many works by Johann Strauss I, and one by Johann Strauss II, the CD also features Ravel’s Bolero, Shostakovich’s Second Waltz, Verdi’s Carnaval de Venise and works by Léhar.
