German-born conductor and arranger André De Ridder has worked with a multitude of indie, rock and pop artists to provide them with orchestrations, inspirations and conducting for live shows, including Damon Albarn's various operas, Richard Reed Parry from The Arcade Fire and Efterklang.
Classic FM's Lucy Coward spoke to De Ridder about blurring the lines between genres, his work with Damon Albarn and various other figures from the pop world, and how he helped guide the new album by revered indie band These New Puritans, Field Of Reeds.
