Alfie Boe cancels US performance

Dangerous weather conditions brought on by storm Sandy have prompted Alfie's management to cancel the final date of his US tour.
Storm Sandy has forced Alfie Boe to cancel his concert tonight in Pittsburgh. The final date in his US tour was due to take place at the Byham Theater, but it was too dangerous for the singer to travel the 500km from last night's performance in Toronto to the next venue.
His manager said Alfie did not want fans to take any weather-related risks in order to attend the performances. A state of emergency has been declared in Pennsylvania and in the surrounding states on the US East Coast.
Alfie said he was 'absolutely gutted' to be cancelling his performance. He said: “So sorry guys but we are having to postpone our last show tomorrow night in Pittsburgh due to the treacherous weather conditions. Stay safe! I would also like to thank all of you for your amazing support on my US tour. Overwhelmed!”
The concert is expected to be rescheduled in 2013. Fans are being advised to keep their tickets.
