The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will perform for senior dignitaries from around the world this week to raise awareness of the shortness of drinking water in many parts of the globe.
The classical concert at Chelsea’s Cadogan Hall on Tuesday 19 June, will be in support of 'Our Water, Our Life' a campaign to highlight the lack of drinking water in the developing world. The concert will be attended by HRH Prince Waleed bin Talal and his philanthropic wife, HRH Princes Ameerah.
Globally renowned for her campaign work for women’s rights in the Middle East, Princess Ameerah will take to the stage to make a presentation to guests before the Royal Philharmonic's exclusive performance of “Amwaj – Water Symphony” - a symphonic poem composed especially for the occasion by UN Ambassador and composer, Vartan Melkonian.
