Early Breakfast with Lucy Coward 4am - 6:30am
6 November 2017, 11:06
When your car becomes a concert hall with two world-class musicians, you just have to sing along…
This week in Classic FM’s Car Concerts with Mazda UK, Lucy Coward went for a musical spin with Tim Lihoreau – along with two surprise guests in the back seat.
Bassoonist Helen and trumpeter James treated the Classic FM presenters to Chopin’s Minute Waltz, following Lucy’s special request for some ‘bitesize piano’ music. They rounded the journey off with a lovely burst of Pachelbel’s Canon in D.
In our last Classic FM Car Concert, the musicians played Holst’s ‘Jupiter’ – also known as ‘I Vow to Thee My Country’ – for Tim and Aled Jones.

The musicians also played the famous ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ chorus from the Pomp & Circumstance March No. 1 by Elgar, starring Tim on the kazoo and Aled on the triangle.
And they were certainly a great addition to the concert…
