Wynne Evans on Phantom of the Opera 25

In October 2010, it celebrated its 10,000th show in London; it is the longest running musical in Broadway history and it has now grossed over $3.2 billion.

Last month, The Phantom of the Opera celebrated its 25th anniversary across two nights, and three performances, at the Royal Albert Hall.

Wynne Evans, most famous for his appearances in the Go Compare adverts, took part in the anniversary performances and celebrations of The Phantom of the Opera, which Wynne tells us was a fantastic experience, if hard work!

He spoke to Classic FM's Lucy Coward about the importance of making opera and musical theatre more accessible, trying to put his own stamp on well-known shows, such as Phantom, and the very first time he saw the show.
