Andrea Bocelli Performs to 100,000 in Brazil
The buzz around Andrea Bocelli's world tour continues to grow at home and across the globe this month.
Concert organisers were stunned last week when over 100,000 fans turned up to see the Italian superstar in action in Brazil as part of the South American leg of the tour.
A crowd of around 25,000 was expected at the free concert at the Sao Paolo's Parque Indipendencia, but on the night around 98,000 people managed to squeeze inside the confines of the park itself and more than 10,000 surrounded the area in the hope of catching a snippet of his performance.
Hoards of fans not lucky enough to make it inside the park resorted to banging on the walls, gates and fences in a desperate attempt to gain access.
Meanwhile, on the strength of such incredible international turnouts, audiences in the UK are snapping up tickets for the autumn leg of Andrea Bocelli's arena tour which kicks off at the O2 Arena, London on Thursday 24th September. For more tour information visit
